BC Crabbing Charter
Our BC Crabbing Cruise is an excellent charter with Captain Orest on the wild West Coast. Crabbing is a fun, interactive activity available all year round. We offer guests a comfortable tour onboard the Oracle with indoor seating and heat in cold weather.
Sure, you can stand on a dock and throw your trap in, or try a net on the beach, but crabbing out on the ocean with a real crab trap and the beauty of Coastal BC all around you is an experience not to be missed! This is a perfect way to get out on the ocean and cruise the Alberni Inlet. Use your own hand line and trap for crabbing. Keep what you catch, or catch and release! Species in these waters include the Dungeness Crab and the red rock crab of Bamfield. If you love a great crab feast, fresh crab cakes, or just love being out on the water doing something fun, this is the perfect day trip. Suitable for ages 12 to 112.
All of our BC crabbing charters leave from the Harbour Quay in Port Alberni. Guests should wear soft soled shoes and dress for the weather. Layers are always a great idea.
Includes all crabbing and safety equipment and a professionally guided tour. Guests will need to purchase their own saltwater fishing license to harvest shellfish in saltwater.
