Jacques-Jarvis Lagoon is definitely a favorite sheltered bay on Jacques Island which is protected by a host of small islands at the northern end of the Broken Group. The narrow entrance keeps the lagoon private, making it an oyster haven. It’s safe to pick oysters here from September to April and the rugged, unspoiled, volcanic rock is especially nice to visit in the winter season.
